What in the Heck Is a Showtune Showdown?

2015 Showtune Showdown-89 (cropped).jpg

Showtune Showdown is a game, divided into 3 rounds. In each round, each team first performs a prepared showtune complete with fabulous costumes and mind-blowing choreography to earn points from our panel of celebrity judges! Then comes the Showtune Showdown! Our host will read out clues to a particular Broadway song. Whichever team buzzes in first with the correct answer wins a chance to perform that song - sight unseen - for even more points!

But wait, there’s more!

In addition to the performances, the teams must answer showtune trivia, but if they can’t figure out the answer, the audience can weigh in for a chance to sing on stage!

With so many twists and turns, it’s hard to know who will win this competition until just before the closing curtain. Throw in some audience singalongs, a musical theatre costume parade, and a zany, free-wheeling atmosphere, and you’re in for a real showstopper of an evening!
